Italy Student Travel Itinerary | Educational Tour for High School Groups

AMALFI COAST


Day 1

Meet at school for your transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to Italy!


Day 2

Arrive in Naples. Meet your tour manager and board the bus to the Porto di Napoli, where you’ll catch a ferry for the scenic journey to Capri.


Leave your bags at the hotel and set out for a walking overview tour of Capri. Enjoy a scoop of gelato and visit local shops.


Stroll through the Giardini di Augusto, a small botanical garden offering one of the best views on the island. See the winding Via Krupp from above.

Have dinner and check into your hotel.


Day 3

Enjoy a boat tour around the island of Capri. See highlights like the Arco Naturale, Tiberius’ Leap, the Faraglioni Rocks, and Punta Carena Lighthouse.


Enter the Blue Grotto, a magical sea cave famous for its vibrant blue waters.

In the afternoon, travel to Anacapri. Take the chairlift up to Monte Solaro, the highest point on the island for stunning panoramic views.


Explore Anacapri’s charming streets before enjoying dinner.


Day 4

Take the ferry from Capri to Sorrento. Upon arrival, hop on a bike tour of the city. Visit the Piazza Lauro and take in the overgrown ruins of the Valley of the Mills.

Visit the Sorrento Cathedral and old town.


Experience the immersive Sorrento Experience Museum and learn about the region’s history, culture, and legends.


Spend your afternoon in Marina Grande, where you’ll take part in a hands-on cooking class featuring Neapolitan and regional specialties.


Enjoy some free time before dinner and rest up for tomorrow’s adventure.


Day 5

Depart early for Bomerano and begin your hike along the Path of the Gods, one of Italy’s most iconic trails with breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast.


After your hike, continue on to the village of Agerola for lunch. Visit the Lauritano Castle and take in the spectacular scenery.


Spend a peaceful afternoon in Agerola before returning to Sorrento for dinner.


Day 6

Spend the morning giving back through a local volunteer opportunity. Choose from activities such as marine clean-up, teaching English, or engaging with the elderly or diversely-abled community members.


Travel to Amalfi for a Classic Lemon Tour. Walk through lemon groves, meet local farmers, and taste fresh lemon cake and lemonade.


Depart for Pompeii. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner and check into your hotel.


Day 7

Start your day with a guided hike in Vesuvius National Park. Your expert volcanologist guide will explain the volcano’s history and recent activity.

Then, explore the archaeological site of Pompeii—once a bustling Roman city preserved by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D.


In the evening, transfer to Rome for your farewell group dinner.


Day 8

If time allows, enjoy a bit of Rome before heading to the airport for your flight home.
