Service Description
Day 1: Meet at the airport for your overnight flight to Rome. Day 2: You will be met by a private bus and taken to Rome for a guided overview tour of the city. Visit the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and the Colosseum. See Michelangelo’s (Moses) located in the church of San Pietro in Vincoli. Day 3: Vatican City! Have a guided tour of the Vatican including the Sistine Chapel. If you’re feeling energetic, clamber the 551 steps for stunning views of Vatican City. There is also an elevator that will take you to the roof, behind the statues of Jesus and the Apostles if you’re not feeling like the climb! Afterward, cross over the Tiber river and enjoy a streetside cappuccino and shopping. Day 4: In the morning, have a walking tour of the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps that lead to the Trinita Dei Monti Church at the top. Spend the rest of the afternoon shopping in the Piazza Navona (especially in the Via del Governo Vecchio area). Day 5: Spend the day in Rome on your own. A tour director will be available to assist with using the public transportation system and recommending places to visit. Day 6: Take a trip to Florence! Have a guided tour of the city. Visit the Accademia Museum to marvel at Michelangelo’s The David. If weather permits, spend time in Bardini Gardens. Walk in the Wisteria tunnel and climb up a long medieval staircase that will carry you to one of the best views of the city. Day 7: In the morning, check out of your hotel and begin the last leg of your fantastic getaway. Travel to Venice. Upon arrival, have a guided overview tour of the city. Day 8: Visit the Ducale Palace (Doge’s Palace). Have a “Secret Itineraries'' tour and see the Doge’s hidden treasures. Spend time in the museum and enjoy the medieval masterpieces. Afterward, explore the Venice bridges, and water street cafes on your own. Do some shopping (but not Venetian glass. Save that for tomorrow). In the evening go on a famous tour by Gondola through the Venice Waterways. Day 9: Board a motorboat and set off across the Venetian Lagoon to Murano. Watch a glassblower create the beautiful glassware we all love. Visit the factory and do some shopping in the showroom before boarding the boat for a stunningly beautiful ride to the island of Burano. Tour the town and see all the colorful fishermen’s houses and do some shopping. Burano is known for its handmade laces. Return to Venice and get ready for dinner. Day 10: Pack your bags and start your journey home.














Cancellation Policy
HUMMINGBIRD® CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS In the rare event that Hummingbird® must cancel a tour, all tour members will be notified at least 91 days before departure and will either receive a full refund alternative travel options. Hummingbird® reserves the right to cancel any tour for any reason, including insufficient tour enrollment. Hummingbird® is not responsible for expenses incurred by guests in preparing for a canceled tour, including, but not limited to, nonrefundable airline tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, etc. If a tour is cancelled by government travel restrictions or any other reason beyond our control. Refunds will be calculated based on our cancellation fee schedule. We encourage you to contact our office before purchasing your airline tickets to check the status of your tour (if applicable.) TRAVELER CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS If you need to cancel your tour, you should call Hummingbird® immediately, and then send a written notification by email or mail. Certain fees will apply calculated as of the date Hummingbird® receives written notice of cancellation. CANCELLATION FEE SCHEDULE The minimum non-refundable fee is $250 per person 90 to 61 days before departure is 25% of the tour price 60 to 46 days before departure is 50% of the tour price 45-0 days before departure is 100% of the tour price *Internal airfare purchased on your behalf by Hummingbird® is subject to the airline’s cancellation policies. TRANSFERS You may transfer to another tour that is within the same calendar year or transfer your tour to another person without penalty by notifying us of your wish to transfer 90 days or more before departure. After that time our normal cancellation fees apply. TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE We require all travelers to have traveler’s Health Insurance. We strongly recommend purchasing Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance. Travel insurance information is enclosed with your tour planning materials. This can help prevent needless loss in case of serious illness, accident, or death of the traveler, traveler’s immediate family, or traveling companion. *We highly recommend purchasing tour cancellation insurance that includes the "cancel for any reason" clause. This will ensure you get the maximum refund in the event of extenuating circumstances like weather events, pandemics, or other events that are out of the control of Hummingbird®
