Service Description
DAY 1: Board the bus for your overnight non-stop flight to Portugal. DAY 2: A bus will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the city center, A UNESCO World Heritage Site. See renowned Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, and Neo-Classical monuments and sites, including the São Bento Railway Station, Clerigos Tower, Church of St. Francis, Lello Bookshop, Sta. Catarina Street, Majestic Café, and Bolhão Market, to name a few. Have dinner and check into your hotel DAY 3: Continue touring Porto in the morning. In the afternoon go on a relaxing boat cruise on the Douro River. Get a different perspective of the city, travel under the impressive bridges as you admire the many viewpoints and ports on the Douro. In the evening, meet some local families in their authentic restaurants and cafes. Taste a range of traditional dishes, and local pastries. If you still have an appetite, have dinner and check into your hotel DAY 4: Travel to Lisbon. On the way, stop in Tomar for a spectacular view and photo opportunity from the Convent of Christ. When you arrive in Lisbon, your private driver will greet you at the arrival hall and take you to Lisbon Center for a walking overview tour. Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world, only second to Athens, Greece. During your overview tour, you will pass by the city’s crowning glory, The Moorish Castle. Proceed on your walking tour through the maze-like cobblestone streets that wind through the Alfama District. The impressive Portuguese late architecture alone will spark nostalgia for the old world. See the UNESCO Jerónimos Monastery. Afterward, have dinner and check into your hotel. DAY 5: After breakfast, take a short trip to the fairytale village of Sintra. This resort town is located in the foothills of the Sintra Mountains. It has been a longtime royal sanctuary in Portugal. The first things to catch your eye will be the pastel-colored villas and palaces. Visit the spectacular Moorish and Late Portuguese-designed National Palace of Pena. Spend time touring this whimsical castle and park. Afterward, spend some time on the beach appreciating the waves of the Atlantic Ocean from ‘across the pond’. Have a leisurely trip back to Lisbon. Stop in Cascais to appreciate the fishing harbor and tourist center. Have dinner in Lisbon and return to your hotel. DAY 6: You will have no trouble keeping yourselves entertained with shopping and sightseeing. DAY 7: Depart for home










Cancellation Policy
HUMMINGBIRD® CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS In the rare event that Hummingbird® must cancel a tour, all tour members will be notified at least 91 days before departure and will either receive a full refund alternative travel options. Hummingbird® reserves the right to cancel any tour for any reason, including insufficient tour enrollment. Hummingbird® is not responsible for expenses incurred by guests in preparing for a canceled tour, including, but not limited to, nonrefundable airline tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, etc. If a tour is cancelled by government travel restrictions or any other reason beyond our control. Refunds will be calculated based on our cancellation fee schedule. We encourage you to contact our office before purchasing your airline tickets to check the status of your tour (if applicable.) TRAVELER CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS If you need to cancel your tour, you should call Hummingbird® immediately, and then send a written notification by email or mail. Certain fees will apply calculated as of the date Hummingbird® receives written notice of cancellation. CANCELLATION FEE SCHEDULE The minimum non-refundable fee is $250 per person 90 to 61 days before departure is 25% of the tour price 60 to 46 days before departure is 50% of the tour price 45-0 days before departure is 100% of the tour price *Internal airfare purchased on your behalf by Hummingbird® is subject to the airline’s cancellation policies. TRANSFERS You may transfer to another tour that is within the same calendar year or transfer your tour to another person without penalty by notifying us of your wish to transfer 90 days or more before departure. After that time our normal cancellation fees apply. TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE We require all travelers to have traveler’s Health Insurance. We strongly recommend purchasing Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance. Travel insurance information is enclosed with your tour planning materials. This can help prevent needless loss in case of serious illness, accident, or death of the traveler, traveler’s immediate family, or traveling companion. *We highly recommend purchasing tour cancellation insurance that includes the "cancel for any reason" clause. This will ensure you get the maximum refund in the event of extenuating circumstances like weather events, pandemics, or other events that are out of the control of Hummingbird®
