TRAVEL COURSE
Travel with your students and earn college credits or professional development points (PDPs)
Hummingbird Student Tours has teamed up with Idioma Education & Consulting to offer a self-paced, asynchronous course for teachers that can be taken for 3 graduate-level credits through Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) or 45 professional development hours (most states approved). This "Learning Beyond the Classroom: Travel Course" empowers educators to design travel programs and integrate global experiences into their curriculum, with coursework available in multiple languages. Participants have 3 months to complete the course, making it an ideal way to enhance professional growth while reflecting on real-world issues through travel.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
Payment Option 1
Completely paid for by student families
After a teacher(s) indicate they are interested in the travel course on the initial request, Hummingbird will build the price into the overall trip price.

Teachers who choose to build any course registration cost into the student tour total will submit the registration information to Hummingbird. Teachers will be provided login instructions to begin the course.

All financial matters will be handled through Idioma and Hummingbird.
Payment Option 2
Paid for by the school
At any time, the traveling teacher(s) can request the travel course and Hummingbird will invoice the school directly.
Teachers who choose to have the school pay for the course register with Hummingbird. Idioma will send the login instructions for the course directly to the teacher within a few weeks of the travel dates. Hummingbird will invoice the school for the course registration tuition.
